Man, these last few weeks have been crazy! We have had a lot going on, no excuse to not be keeping in contact with my family though.
Just to catch you up, Nick was laid off at UPS, fortunately, he was able to get a job at another Target store about a month before, so at least we have that. I was having such a hard time at work that I was thinking of quiting despite our new found financial situation. Thinks are looking up though, the person I was having problems with left so now we have a new Store Manager. Change can be so hard sometimes. I was so use to the way that he did things and the way that he wanted things and now this new girl is the exact opposite. We were all hoping for someone more involved and more hands on and we go it, she is on the other end of where he was and I will admit, it has been a struggle to get use to. It is never easy to handle when some one comes in and on their second day is questioning the way you do your job, and the way you have been doing your job for that past year.

Many good things have come out of all of this change though. Nick and I are getting to spend so much more time together and we are absolutely loving it! Instead of going and renting a movie we now play games together, read, do something with the dogs or spend more time with our families. This might have been just what we needed in order to get us back on track, to stop focusing so much on things that don't matter at all and start working on our marriage and our relationship.

I have also decided that I think I want to go back to church. We haven't been going for about six months now, ever since we got married. I was having a really hard time with the people, and just my own personal feeling from things that have happened in the past and ruined my view of the church. After going this long without it though I have realized that that is what I need in my life. Going to church, and living it's teachings are hard, and we will all always work on it but I figure even if I don't believe in everything, and don't practice everything, it's better than nothing right? I think right now in my life I just need that stability and that extra guidance and support you get from going every Sunday and from the people in the church. Hopefully we will find some good friends in our ward that we can learn from and grow with.

Well that will be all for tonight, hope this finds you all well.

Houston, We have landed.

Well, we finally have internet in our apartment! So it will be much easier for us to be blogging and keeping everyone updated. Nick has a second job now, at Target (of all the places...) so life if getting easier, money wise. We don't see much of eachother though but I guess that's the price you have to pay sometimes.
He called in sick on Tuesday and we went out to eat and to see Dear John (giftcards are a wonderful thing!) and it was fantastic to get to spend some time with him, just the two of us doing whatever we want to do and talk about whatever we wanted to talk about.
I've learned that you tend to take things for granted till you don't have them anymore. Of course, I always loved spending time with him but when we both got involved in so many other things it just got to hard. You can really miss some one even though you live in the same house as them!

Home Sweet Home

Well, I finally got some pictures taken of our apartment! I apologize that it took so long.

Anyway, when you first walk in there is the living room, we even have our own fire place!

Once you walk through we have our kitchen with a good sized dining room, perfect for two.
In the front corner we have a spare room, or my craft room, and it looks just like most spare rooms! It's a mess, still a work in progress. Then we have our bathroom, and to no surprise, covered in ducks!

In the back is the master bedroom, there is a deck out the door, it's the time out corner for the dogs when I can't take them anymore.

Connecting the bedroom and bathroom and I even have my own little space to get ready, that way I can as much of a mess as I want!

Boy does time fly!

Sorry everyone,

I just wanted to apologize about my what, three month gap? Things are going fantastic with us! We are loving our apartment and just married life in general.
Nick got a second job at Target so that we can hurry and get our cars paid off and I am looking for a new job. Sometimes, you just need to change something in your life, and that is what I'm feeling right now.
I am starting to get back involved with the Garden group that I did last year only as a leader now since I am out of high school and I am already enjoying it. Giving to others and helping others just makes you feel so wonderful. Even if it's not pulling weeds, giving money or anything like that, just teaching someone a new skill or help them develop as a person is a wonderful way to spend your time

Well, you should hear from us again in about a week. Sorry again!

A glimmer of hope

This last weekend Nick and I applied for our own apartment, it is nothing fancy, just a first apartment. We were suppose to hear back today on whether we cleared or not but we never got a call, but I sure do have my fingers crossed for tomorrow!

I applied for college over the weekend also. I am so excited to get started but at the same time I am very nervous to go back. It will be good to get started on my degree though.

We got great news today and found out that Mom is cancer free! We are all so relieved, it's like a weight has been lifted off of our shoulders. We are going to to celebrate this weekend, it will be a great time!

Look back tomorrow to hear more, maybe we will have our own apartment!

Oh what a wonderful time of the year

Fall is such a memorable time of the year. Nick and I are both very excited about spending all of the Holidays together as a married couple! Halloween was great, we spent it at my parents with our family and his friend Jordan playing games and watching movies.

The only thing not good at all about this time of the year is Colds and Flues. Nick got sick last week and still has a nasty cough. It's getting better but as everyone knows, being sick is never any fun, no matter how sick you are.

Well, that's all for now, everyone have a good week!
